Getting StartedIT Monkey was founded in 2009 in Naas, Co Kildare by Liam Mac Namee and Michael John Smyth. We worked from the kitchen table in Liam's house for our first 6 months.
Monkey TowersWe moved into our first office, a shed at the back of MJ's house in June 2010. Luxury!
Fledgling Web DesignersOne of our clients asked us if we could produce a website for them, we weren't in a position to turn work away so we got stuck into it and figured it out as we went along.
Reality HitsMonkey Towers proved a very cold place in the winter of 2010 so we moved to a small ofiice at the back of Kitchen World in Ladytown. No windows but at least it was warm!
RansomwareWith the widespread threat from Ransomware we went about training our team in the world of IT security. We have continued to build our skills and knowledge and provide business continuity advice and solutions to this day.
Moving AgainWe decided it was time to take the plunge and get ourselves a proper place to work. We had taken on our first staff member and we need a bigger place so we moved to the all new Monkey Towers in Tougher Business Park. It was small and falling apart but within a few weeks we tidied it all up and moved in.
It's Getting CloudyHaving been using and providing cloud services since our inception, it was now time to start providing complete cloud based business environments for our growing client base, forming a partnership with AWS.
Building the TeamWe welcomed two new staff members in 2015, both have gone on to become a major part of our team.
ITM DigitalAt IT Monkey we have been developing fast, responsive websites for many years. While Web & IT go hand in hand, to increase our web design profile we decided to split our business between Web & IT and ITM Digital was born.
ExpansionDue to continued expansion we moved into our current premesis in Naas Enterprise Park. We also welcomed a new business partner, Sales Manager Edric White, to assist in growing the business in new directions.
